Walt Eating Ice Cream

Have I ever commented on how much I love my new job? Well, I do. This last semester I began to teach online classes for a local community college so that I could stay at home with Walt. It was a gift handed to me from God. I was supposed to go and sign my contract to return to a high school for this school year, but I really could not stand being away from my sweet little man for so long during the day. With the work hours and commute there was little time and energy for him at the end of the day. I made many, many, many phone calls within a week, and on Thursday I called where I work now, and by Monday I had a new job. There were many obstacles that existed and God worked them all out. I love my new job because I do it before Walt gets up in the morning and during his naps. He is just too much fun to leave! So as the upcoming semester gets started I have more work to do initially, and so, my Mom took Walt with her to Hobby Lobby and to get some dinner. He had a blast, but what other kind of fun is there when you are with your Mimi? One of the special things he always gets with her is a little ice cream cone, so I had to share this cute picture with you! Oh, how he loves his Mimi time and his ice cream! And I was able to finish setting up one of my classes, so that means more park time with the Walt Man this spring! Woo Hoo!

  1. He's my kind of man. I love a little ice cream cone too!

I'm so glad you have the job and the pleasure of more time with Walt. I will never forget the sweet toddler times with mine. Money was tight and times were tough, but it was so, so worth it! I am excited for anyone who gets that gift.

Magdalena Grace Roberts

This morning Magdalena left this world to be with Jesus. There really isn't too much else I can say but to please pray for Julie and Noah. For now, they do not want any calls, emails or visits. I will you keep you updated on the arrangements.

Making the Decision to Not Make the Decision

I get the question, "Are you going to have any more kids?" asked often. Since finding out Magdalena's diagnosis it was always a tough question to answer. We had always envisioned ourselves with multiple children, but there was always the lingering thought of having to endure this difficult situation again. Although it is less than a one percent chance that we would have another child with T18, the percentage still exists. When pregnant, I said multiple times that I couldn't do this again and my mom constantly reminded me that it is not always that difficult. Being pregnant was physically uncomfortable, but I was referring to the constant emotional exhaustion. As Magdalena continued to do well, Noah and I weren't sure when to begin thinking about other children. Noah and I discussed that I would work really hard at losing my weight, but I was willing to be five pounds more than what I was originally. People poked fun at my not eating Magdalena's birthday cakes

Hello World!!

Here are my first pictures! Julie is on her way to the room and doing great. As we have more pictures, I will get them up for you to see. Stephen
