O Love That Will Not Let Me Go

We are still waiting to see which baby God has planned for us to parent, and we won't have any more updates on it until we find out who he or she is!  Please pray for Noah and me because it is so hard waiting.  We were told from the beginning that this would be the hardest part, and our sweet social worker was right! Every time the phone rings we jump (just a little) at the possibility, and only God knows how much longer we have to wait.  Thank you so much for all the prayers you send up for us!

We are so blessed to have friends and family rally around us as we wait on the baby we will be adopting!  We don't know who he or she is, yet, but we are ready for that sweet day!  A group of 35 women gathered together and paint with the proceeds going towards our adoption expenses!  It was a fun night together, and everyone's enthusiasm to be a part of this journey with us was so encouraging! I won't make the same mistake twice!  I am putting up this cute picture of Jennifer and me first! Everyone painted such beautiful pictures! Trying to be a little goofy!

We knew that we had been officially approved for adoption, and that we were waiting, but there is nothing like seeing it in writing!  It was an incredible day to receive our letter of approval from Bethany Christian Services.  Now, we are officially waiting to be chosen!

It's amazing the days that stick out in your brain, and yesterday was one that will be remembered for all time.  Noah and I have received our official stamp of approval to adopt!  We are incredibly excited that it is hard to put down into words.  We are praying for our the birthmother of our future child, whoever she may be, as she works through so many decisions. There are not more updates on the adoption front until we get the call for a baby!

This weekend my heart has been heavy for the birthmother of our future child.  I don't know who she is or her circumstances, but please begin to pray for her.  Pray for strength and comfort. Noah and I are so excited about ADOPTION !!! Our Story:  Within our first year of marriage, Noah and I agreed that we wanted to do two things:  1. Name our first daughter Magdalena and 2. Adopt. We have always been open to it, but for a while it was not at the forefront of our minds.  When Walt was about 13 months old, we just began to feel God tugging at our hearts, and so we filled out our preliminary application with Bethany Christian Services and met one on one with someone there to ask all of our questions.  At the time, we wanted to enter into the international adoption process, but when we left, Noah was leaning strongly towards domestic adoption.  With certain guidelines that had to be followed for international adoption, we waited six more months for me to turn thirty years old, the required age by China.  Then, in September of 2011, I went to the international adoption meeting.  Everything about it just wasn't right for us, and after the ...
