Dish Fairy

Ephesians 5:25 - Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,

Last semester I would sometimes leave a dish or two from cooking soaking in the sink thinking that I would finish it in the morning. Morning would come, and the dish would be washed, dried, and put away. It was amazing. I never got to ask Noah about it because he would leave the house at 6:30 just as I was getting up. Now, because I am waking up at 6:00 I have caught the dish fairy in action! Now, it is becoming a little joke around our house that I had to share with you! My husband is just too sweet to me, and he definitely knows my love language. It's the small things that lets me know he loves me, appreciates the work I do, and takes care of me.

Have you seen that McDonald's commercial with the oatmeal and fresh fruit? It looks yummy, but when I go to McDonald's I don't go for something healthy, so it was hard for me to imagine going there to buy this delicious looking oatmeal. This morning we made some for ourselves! We made plain oatmeal and added about 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar. Then, we topped it with fresh apples and raisins. I also added honey as a dab extra, but that may be too much sugar. Either way it was delicious, and I highly recommend it to everyone out there! You could really add whatever you want!

You should know that Aimee is trying to beat you to making Crock Pot oatmeal. She mentioned having a recipe (that doesn't require a vanilla bean).

Magdalena Grace Roberts

This morning Magdalena left this world to be with Jesus. There really isn't too much else I can say but to please pray for Julie and Noah. For now, they do not want any calls, emails or visits. I will you keep you updated on the arrangements.

Making the Decision to Not Make the Decision

I get the question, "Are you going to have any more kids?" asked often. Since finding out Magdalena's diagnosis it was always a tough question to answer. We had always envisioned ourselves with multiple children, but there was always the lingering thought of having to endure this difficult situation again. Although it is less than a one percent chance that we would have another child with T18, the percentage still exists. When pregnant, I said multiple times that I couldn't do this again and my mom constantly reminded me that it is not always that difficult. Being pregnant was physically uncomfortable, but I was referring to the constant emotional exhaustion. As Magdalena continued to do well, Noah and I weren't sure when to begin thinking about other children. Noah and I discussed that I would work really hard at losing my weight, but I was willing to be five pounds more than what I was originally. People poked fun at my not eating Magdalena's birthday cakes

Hello World!!

Here are my first pictures! Julie is on her way to the room and doing great. As we have more pictures, I will get them up for you to see. Stephen
