I will always have an ear to listen and a 'shoulder' to cry on. We will be praying for your beautiful family..God bless you all.

  53. I'm new to your story...only since Magdelena's passing. I wish I'd had the honor of following all along the way.
I am so sorry that you are going through this time. I love that you celebrated each day of her life, even when the fear inside had to be immeasurable. You gave her more love in her short life than some children experience in their long lives. She is so blessed to have been loved by you...and God chose you because He knew you were up to the challenge and full of love to give.

The video was beautiful and I know you will treasure it always. How wonderful that you got to see her beautiful smiles. She truly is a beautiful girl.

May God hold you tightly as you grieve. I can not imagine and it hurts me to think of anyone having to experience this loss. It all makes me so grateful, and that will be part of your beautiful daughters legacy.

Please know that you are in my prayers. I pray that God will continue to bless you as He did when He gave you Magdalena Grace.

  70. We are members at First Pres in Augusta and wanted you to know that we prayed for you as a congregation this morning. My family is praying for you as well! Tonight our five year old little girl prayed "Lord help Magdalena's family to not be sad and thank you God that whatever was wrong with her is all gone now b/c she is in heave with you". Magdalena's little life has touched so many! So many people know the name "Magdalena Grace Roberts" that would not have otherwise. God used her little life for such good and to touch so many!
We rejoice with you in the good work He did in her precious little life. And we mourn with you as you grieve her loss!
know that so many are lifting you up to our Father and praying that you will be comforted by His great love for you and for sweet Magdalena!

Magdalena Grace Roberts

This morning Magdalena left this world to be with Jesus. There really isn't too much else I can say but to please pray for Julie and Noah. For now, they do not want any calls, emails or visits. I will you keep you updated on the arrangements.

Making the Decision to Not Make the Decision

I get the question, "Are you going to have any more kids?" asked often. Since finding out Magdalena's diagnosis it was always a tough question to answer. We had always envisioned ourselves with multiple children, but there was always the lingering thought of having to endure this difficult situation again. Although it is less than a one percent chance that we would have another child with T18, the percentage still exists. When pregnant, I said multiple times that I couldn't do this again and my mom constantly reminded me that it is not always that difficult. Being pregnant was physically uncomfortable, but I was referring to the constant emotional exhaustion. As Magdalena continued to do well, Noah and I weren't sure when to begin thinking about other children. Noah and I discussed that I would work really hard at losing my weight, but I was willing to be five pounds more than what I was originally. People poked fun at my not eating Magdalena's birthday cakes
