Free Chicken!! ...so of course we're there!

We always look for free fun, and tonight at Chicfila everyone who wore their p.j.s got a free chicken biscuit! All three of us ate it up! Yummmm!!! Then, I won a door prize which contained an awesome mug and 2 coupons for free meals at Chicfila! Yay! The sad part was that Walt was terrified of the Chicfila cow. My nephew continued to touch and give the cow a handshake, but Walt physically quivered and began to scream when the cow touched him. I am not exaggerating! It was sad because the cow is there in p.j.s for the kids!

I am not quite sure what this look is on Noah's face. He has been doing it often because he is trying to smile and contain Walt at the same time.

    FUN! Gosh, Walt is so stinkin' cute!!!
    Sage is scared of stuff like that also! She would have been terrified of a "fake" cow, but would have come home and petted her real cows! Kids. Go figure:)

    My son had a horrible fear of "characters" like the Chick-fil-a cow! He would scream bloody murder and try to hide. He was literally terrified of them from the time whe was about 1 1/2 until he was about 5. he's grown out of it since then thank goodness but we haven't stepped foot in a Chuck E. Cheese in years! :)

Also, WALT is getting so big and cuter by the day it looks like! He was such a joy in the nursery for those weeks in bible study!

    So cute about Walt being afraid of "characters" in costume. Just wanted to share that my daughter was the same way. Since then she has traveled all over the world and done many bungy jumps (crazy and brave), including the world's tallest in S. Africa while on a mission trip there. She also has done mission trips in India and Malawi. So in terms of being adventurous or brave, being afraid when you are a toddler is meaningless. Plus, when you think about it, it is pretty smart to be leery of weird big things that move and talk, right?!?

    I am so happy that you also "won" some extras while they! Fun!!!

Making the Decision to Not Make the Decision

I get the question, "Are you going to have any more kids?" asked often. Since finding out Magdalena's diagnosis it was always a tough question to answer. We had always envisioned ourselves with multiple children, but there was always the lingering thought of having to endure this difficult situation again. Although it is less than a one percent chance that we would have another child with T18, the percentage still exists. When pregnant, I said multiple times that I couldn't do this again and my mom constantly reminded me that it is not always that difficult. Being pregnant was physically uncomfortable, but I was referring to the constant emotional exhaustion. As Magdalena continued to do well, Noah and I weren't sure when to begin thinking about other children. Noah and I discussed that I would work really hard at losing my weight, but I was willing to be five pounds more than what I was originally. People poked fun at my not eating Magdalena's birthday cakes
