A Fun Weekend!

This weekend was filled with a lot of fun happenings. We did the usual on Friday night, which we both always enjoy, pizza and movie night. I am getting A LOT better at making pizzas! We also tried a new recipe thanks to a friend! This Garlic Pizza was good, but a lot of work compared to my other pizza because the dough was crazy sticky. We decided that we would give it one more try to see if we can make it happen more easily before we give up on it though. Our movie for the night was Despicable Me, which made us laugh the entire time! Noah is so tired from school and work that he fell asleep towards the end of it, but it was not because of the movie!

On Saturday we went to Barnes and Noble to get a free cup of coffee. We "had" to listen to the Nook Color demonstration, and then, partook in a delicious cup of Starbucks coffee. This was torturous for me, especially since I want a Nook so badly!
Then, we were off for haircuts! I had not had one since last May, and Walt had wings stretching out for many inches, so we both got a little trim. I won't use the word "cut" to describe what I had done to Walt's hair because I was not ready to part with those sweet curls. We had the hair trimmed around the ears so that he would be even more precious looking. While I got my hair cut, my mom picked up Walt for some Mimi fun time, and that allowed Noah and I to get some ice cream using our Maggie Moos groupon!
The weather just made it a wonderful time walking around outside, and I was really excited to get home and paint my nails and toenails with a spring color!

But the weekend was still not over! Walt was able to celebrate his cousin Emma's birthday on Sunday at her swimming party!
I love springtime with all of these fun happenings!

  1. Oh, I love Walt's wings but I bet his haircut is precious! We also LOVE Despicable Me. Last night, I had an idea, looked at Carter and said, "Lightbulb!"

Magdalena Grace Roberts

This morning Magdalena left this world to be with Jesus. There really isn't too much else I can say but to please pray for Julie and Noah. For now, they do not want any calls, emails or visits. I will you keep you updated on the arrangements.

Making the Decision to Not Make the Decision

I get the question, "Are you going to have any more kids?" asked often. Since finding out Magdalena's diagnosis it was always a tough question to answer. We had always envisioned ourselves with multiple children, but there was always the lingering thought of having to endure this difficult situation again. Although it is less than a one percent chance that we would have another child with T18, the percentage still exists. When pregnant, I said multiple times that I couldn't do this again and my mom constantly reminded me that it is not always that difficult. Being pregnant was physically uncomfortable, but I was referring to the constant emotional exhaustion. As Magdalena continued to do well, Noah and I weren't sure when to begin thinking about other children. Noah and I discussed that I would work really hard at losing my weight, but I was willing to be five pounds more than what I was originally. People poked fun at my not eating Magdalena's birthday cakes
