Prayer

Please pray for my family as we attempt to get through a day where

Noah and I lost a daughter, our first child
Grandparents said goodbye to their granddaughter
Great-Grandparents suffer loss
Aunts and Uncles gave their last hugs
Cousins miss their little friend

But God welcomed his precious daughter home
She is singing. She is dancing. She is praising him. She is healthy.

  9. What a BEAUTIFUL tribute post, and comments as well. I put the day in my calendar awhile back, am SO thinking of you and your family. You have such a large network of those praying for you and behind you as you somehow get through the day. I know you will be comforted by truly feeling Magdalena's presence and love for you.

  11. To the Roberts,
you don't know me, but I am in Bible study with Kimberly here in Houston. Today, Kimberly sent out a prayer request for you and your family along with your blog link. A few years back, my cousins baby boy was diagnosed with the same rare condition as your sweet girl. His name was Noah. He lived for about a month before he went to Heaven. I've never met anyone else who has had a baby with the same condition. Reading through some of your blog really touched me today. I want you to know we are praying for you and your beautiful family here in Houston today. May your sweet girl be a testimony to us all as she was to me today. Thank you for all that you share.

    Love and Prayers from Texas,
    Amanda

  12. Thinking of your family today, and remembering your sweet, beautiful Magdalena. She made such an impact in her time on Earth. What a blessing to know she is safe in God's hands today, as she was always when she was here with you. I pray the hope that we have in resurrection always stays a very real comfort to you.

  13. Praying for you, Noah and sweet Walt as you remember, celebrate and miss your beautiful girl.

As others have said, we are all imprinted with Magdalena's all too short life and the amazing love that you poured out on her. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your sweet girl with us.

This is such a difficult journey but you are walking it so beautifully, hand in hand with Jesus. The care and concern that you and Noah show each other is beautiful and inspiring.

This morning Magdalena left this world to be with Jesus. There really isn't too much else I can say but to please pray for Julie and Noah. For now, they do not want any calls, emails or visits. I will you keep you updated on the arrangements.

Making the Decision to Not Make the Decision

I get the question, "Are you going to have any more kids?" asked often. Since finding out Magdalena's diagnosis it was always a tough question to answer. We had always envisioned ourselves with multiple children, but there was always the lingering thought of having to endure this difficult situation again. Although it is less than a one percent chance that we would have another child with T18, the percentage still exists. When pregnant, I said multiple times that I couldn't do this again and my mom constantly reminded me that it is not always that difficult. Being pregnant was physically uncomfortable, but I was referring to the constant emotional exhaustion. As Magdalena continued to do well, Noah and I weren't sure when to begin thinking about other children. Noah and I discussed that I would work really hard at losing my weight, but I was willing to be five pounds more than what I was originally. People poked fun at my not eating Magdalena's birthday cakes...
