Jesus is Risen!

Easter is a special holiday for those of us who have lost someone that we truly love because it is the day that we celebrate that Jesus is risen. We know that Magdalena is in heaven because Jesus paid the ultimate cost for our sins. However, it is on this special day that we miss her the most out of all of the days. Mary Magdalene was the first to see Jesus when he was no longer dead, and when our pastor preached I couldn't help but think about how Magdalena (Magdalene in Spanish) was the first of us to see Jesus. I did make it through all of church and family time, which felt like an accomplishment, but at the end of the day I was emotionally tired. I miss her so much.
Katie and Carter took balloons and a pink egg to Magdalena's grave, and Mimi planted the purple flowers.

I know that I know, that I know!

I know that sweet Magdalena is with our risen Saviour, perfect in every way, praising our King!

So sorry that yesterday was wonderful with church, family and friends and yet so very hard for you.

Prayers continue for you as well as Noah and your new little one!
    Praying for peace and comfort.

  2. The comments about Mary Magdalene made me think of Magdalena as well, and I knew if it caused me to think of her that it did the same for y'all. I am thankful for the hope that is Christ, and yet sad as well that she was not with us to celebrate...

I also can't imagine the powerful comfort that Christ our Risen Savior poured out this day to get you through. I'm praying for you.

  10. Ethan said to me last week incredulously "can you believe that we won't sin when we get to heaven!! How can that happen? It's amazing!" -in his very enthusiastic and typical style. Magdelena is there, where there is no sin, no disease, no fear or despair....just wonderful companionship with our risen savior, Jesus.

I, Like so many others, stumbled upon your blog just recently. I have read about your journey from the very beginning, every post. What I really want to say is what a tremendous inspiration you have been to me. Reading about your precious Magdalena has truly touched my heart. Your faith has forever impacted my life, in a time when my own faith was growing weary. Having strong faith throughout struggles and hardships is what faith is all about. Your story has helped me with this. Thank you for sharing. I am praying for your family and for God's blessings in your life.
