I have not finished the chapter in our reading for this week. Knowing this day was approaching made me relive her death. I couldn't shake it, and I found so much comfort in the first two readings of our chapter on death, but I really wanted to focus on Friday for this week. I agree so much with Nancy in that I just dread the upcoming day. It's such a bittersweet day because it reminds us of what we were given, but it causes us to miss what was taken away. To keep myself busy I have been baking in honor of my sweet girl.

Cupcakes for the family on Friday
A part of the cake for Saturday, when we have a party to collect toys for the children's hospital
A cake for the NICU nurses who I will be going to visit tomorrow
Cooking sometimes helps to pain into action, and there is some healing in it. I am hoping that it tastes good because Magdalena liked her chocolate cake with white icing!
