This morning Magdalena left this world to be with Jesus. There really isn't too much else I can say but to please pray for Julie and Noah. For now, they do not want any calls, emails or visits. I will you keep you updated on the arrangements.
Four years ago today, we didn't know that it would be Magdalena's last hours on earth. We knew that she was sick, and we were taking shifts staying awake with her. I went to bed early planning to wake up at midnight, and then, Noah would sleep. As I fell asleep weeping I prayed out to God for more time, and even as I prayed I knew that He was saying "I have not left nor forsaken you" (Hebrews 13:5). These are the last few pictures we took of Magdalena. Just days before she went to be with Jesus, she joined her cousins for movie night watching Horton Hears a Who (how appropriate might I add - "a person's a person no matter how small" - Dr. Seuss) at Loli's house. I remember that I was basically still in my p.j.s looking terrible so there are no pictures of me. But I love these pictures because they embody how much Caroline and Emma loved Magdalena.
